Karthi & Ranjani’s wedding reception saw the entire Kollywood wishing them a happy married life. The media also was invited to his reception held at Le Royal Meridien in Guindy. Now, the newly married couple has left for Austria for their honeymoon.
The choice is nevertheless strange to tour Austria which is chosen by Karthi himself, since he knows places and has been to so many. Austria is an ideal tourist destination for couples in honeymoon.
It is a weeklong tour. He will come back to Chennai with his wife Ranjani by July 20, 2011. Soon after his arrival, the shoot of Saguni will begin on July 26, 2011. Saguni is the latest Karthi film to be directed by Shankar Dayal.

Wondering what these numbers are about? Well, we are here to explain you. Suriya, if sources are to be believed, will start working for his forthcoming film Maatraan from July 15, while Karthi, who is on a break thanks to his wedding, will join the sets of Saguni on July 26.
‘Surya is currently busy doing homework for his role in Maatraan, which brings him together with director K.V Anand after the stupendous hit Ayan. Maatraan produced by AGS Entertainment will hit the floors on July 25,’ say sources.
On Karthi, they say, ‘Karthi, who is currently on a honeymoon trip in Austria with wife Ranjini, will return to Chennai in a few days. A thorough professional that he is, he will start working for Saguni from July 26.’

Mallika Sherawat has won a case against her for an "obscene" dance performance at a five-star hotel. The actress was sued by Indian morality campaigner Vinod Jain for the dance, which was broadcast live on television in 2006.Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror, Jain said that he would carry on fighting the case. He commented: "I don’t see this as the end of the road. I agree that Mallika has been discharged legally but I will go to the high court."I had given all the evidence via a CD. Let’s see what happens in the high court after I appeal.”In 2008, the Pakistani Film Authority tried to remove scenes from the film Welcome featuring Sherawat because they were too graphic.

Malaika Arora Khan gave a sizzling performance at Aamby Valley City in Mumbai on all her hit numbers from ‘Chaiya Chaiya’ to ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’. DJ Amandeep added to the atmosphere with his foot-tapping music.
Mallika Sherawat gave her performance at Sahara Star hotel in Mumbai for ‘Seduction 2011′. She danced on songs from her films including famous number Maiya, Maiya from the film Guru. The performances continued all night long with singing sensation Neeraj Shreedhar, sultry Bollywood actress Mughda Godse, stand up act by comedian Kapil Sharma, performance by actress Marisha Parekh along with international dancers.

Even though she is being paid more than them, Priyanka Chopra is in no mood to join the bandwagon of Bipasha Basu, Mallika Sherawat & Co.
The actress has kicked a Rs 3 crore offer to shimmy at a 5-star hotel for this New Year’s Eve. This amount being offered to her is actually double of what she would demand for a role in a film (Rs 1.5 crore, at last count).
The time it would take to earn this amount is as little as 3 hours of actual work.
The schedule of a film is much longer, going into months. So why has Chops turned down such a profitable offer?
The answer is her diva image that she has been painstakingly building up over the last few years.
A source close to Priyanka told, “A 5-star hotel in Andheri came up with an offer to Priyanka asking her to gyrate at the forthcoming New Year’s Eve.
Priyanka turned them down politely.” Explaining why Priyanka declined, the source added, “Priyanka is very uncomfortable dancing in hotels in front of a live audience.
She doesn’t get a very good feeling in doing such performances. Yes, Rs 3 crore is a very tempting amount. But despite the hotel officials coaxing her, Priyanka was adamant that she wouldn’t toe the line.” The actress remained unavailable for comment.

Wellknown actor and director Prakash Raj finally married choreographer and his lady love Pony Verma today (Aug 24) morning at a private function in Mumbai.
The couple will host a reception for their close friends from Bollywood and Kollywood tonight at Sahara Star hotel, near the Mumbai airport. The wedding ceremony was held as per Hindu tradition in Punjabi style.
Among those seen at the wedding was close friends of Prakash and Kollywood personalities like director Radha Mohan, cinematographer K V Guhan,writer Viji and actor Kumaravelu.

Ever since their film Agent Vinod got delayed, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been scouting around for a suitable film to do together. Now a major project has fallen into their lap which seems just tailor- made for them.Fox Star Studios has approached the couple to star in a Hindi remake of the Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight and Day.
The meeting in question happened few days back at a suburban five star hotel. A source reveals, “Saif was keen to do the remake of a Hollywood film for quite some time and was already in talks with the production house.
The production house held a screening of Knight and Day and both Saif and Kareena liked the film because its genre, action-comedy, was just what they were looking for. It’s a fast paced movie with lots of action.” The off-screen couple were last seen on-screen together in Kurbaan.
While Kareena remained unavailable for comment, Saif says,“We meet various people in the office - that’s what a production house does. But Kareena and I have not met Fox Star together for a film.”
But a source close to Fox Star says, “Yes, a meeting was called with Saif and Kareena.”

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is excited about his first superhero filmRa.One, which will also see him flying. And he says he is doing it for his children and hopes to succeed at the box office.
“The film Ra.One is a superhero film. There is a good guy, there is a bad guy, there is a beautiful girl, there is a wonderful singer and a fantastic director,” Shah Rukh told reporters at a press conference organised to welcome the international R&B singer Akon at Sahara Star hotel Tuesday.
“It’s a kind of film, a genre we guys haven’t tried at ‘Red Chilies’. On behalf of the whole team, I would like to try and I hope we succeed. It’s a new thing for all of us, so we are giving it our best shot. Hopefully, we will be able to do what we are set out to do. I am doing it for my kids,” he added.
The film is being directed by Anubhav Sinha and Kareena Kapoor plays Shah Rukh’s love interest in it.
He said: “My superhero character is called Jeeva and he can solidify electricity. It’s a concept we are trying to work on. Hopefully, visually it will be understandable too. It is a superhero film and I am going to fly in it.”
Shah Rukh confirmed Akon will record a number for the film, but clarified that the R&B singer won’t sing for the promotional song for his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
“No, he is actually here to do a song for Ra.One. We would love him to do a lot of songs. We haven’t developed the song for KKR, but if I do, I would obviously request him to do that.
“No, there is not any business deal with Akon. He has just been very gracious. You know, he is unlike me – I charge for everything. I will be really honest. When you see an artist or a singer, you truly realise that they want to do it for the sake of art. And what I love about him is that he only loves to work,” said Shah Rukh.
Kareena was also present and welcomed Akon by putting tilak on his forehead and a garland around his neck.
