Amazon.com has promised to make a paid app free every day in the Amazon Appstore, and today's app is Beaver's Revenge [Ad-Free].

Quite of few of the negative ratings are simply "angry" at the dev. Why? Because the game is pretty similar to Angry Birds. Similar is being kind, actually.
Those who are considering "buying" a Free Amazon Appstore app might want to consider what it means to developers.
Amazon.com opened up the Appstore despite a lawsuit by Apple, which has previously trademarked the term "App Store." Microsoft has filed an appeal against that trademark, saying the term is too generic. Amazon.com has responded to the lawsuit in the same manner.

Story:
Jeeva (Jeeva) and Ramana (Nanda) are step brothers from different fathers. Ramana doesn’t like his brother and hates his family. He tries to kill his little brother and flees away from home to become a big don. Jeeva comes to Mumbai and falls in love with Anjana (Taapsee). At an instant, Ramana kills Anajana’s father accidentally. Anjana seeks revenge and asks Jeeva to get Ramana behind bars. As there is no evidence for the killing, Ramana has to voluntarily surrender to police.
Ramana disagrees to do that and Anjana leaves Jeeva and move away to some unknown place until she get to know that Ramana is arrested or killed. Later Ramana comes to know that Jeeva is his step brother and he completely ignores him. But Jeeva hunts him down and there comes an unexpected twist in the tale.
Analysis:
This is a romantic family drama laced with some action. Most part of the film goes at a snail pace and bores you to death. The scenes look stupid and out of place at times. But that is deliberately done by the director and that will be known once the twist is revealed. The final twist answers many logical errors too.
The final twist really good but our audience may compare it to the twist in Darling movie. So, the only plus point of the film doesn’t really ‘shock’ our audience. May be Tamil audience might respond to it in a better way.
The film is technically sound and the performances are alright. Script is very weak that it would be a big test to sit through the film till climax. Music and cinematography are good though.
Performances:
Jeeva is good as the protagonist. His character needs to be underplayed and he does well in doing so. Taapsee looks sweet as Anjana but has to improve her acting skills. Nandha is good in a serious role. Santhanam’s comedy lacked the kick and Rehman is good in a small role.
Technicalities:
Thaman’s music is cool. Background score is very good. Anjana Anjana and Andala Bala songs will stay with you. Muttaiah’s cinematography is an asset to the film. Cinematography arrests you right away from the start. Editing by Vijayan is fine.
Kannan is a good technician but needs to sharpen his skills as a script writer. Although he has made deliberate errors as per the script requirement, he could have made this a breezy entertainer. All the comedy scenes are gone wasted. Romantic scenes lacked the soul (deliberate, may be).
Final Word: Vachadu Odaadu is an apt title for this film from audience point of view.

As the guy must be a model or something, the images showing with all the snarky remarks certainly isn't helping his career.
His mother said (although the forum post has been removed):
My minor son's ex-girlfriend took a copyrighted picture of him (we own copyright) and uploaded it more than 60 times to a website. On each image she wrote slanderous, defamatory and pornographic captions. The webmaster of the site states he removed the images 6 weeks ago, but Google Search still shows all the images. My son is so stressed out and embarrassed and we've done everything we can to get images off of Google including URL removal tool, a letter to Google Legal with all the URLs because of copyright infringement, and nothing has worked!
Search Engine Roundtable notes that although the images may be gone from the original site, the URLs for those images are returning a 200 status code, which Google interprets to mean are still live. Instead, the images need to return a "page not found" error.

In-app purchases are finally coming to Android. This will allow developers to sell additional features or services, such as game levels and the like, from within their apps.
As with the App Store and its in-app purchases, we would expect the Android Market will get a cut of those buys. The APIs for in-app purchases are being released now; Google plans for the feature to go live to end users by the end of March.
Google has already begun working with a small number of developers to include the capability in their applications. In fact, one of those developers is Disney Mobile. Google has been working with Disney to get a slightly popular game on Android: Tap Tap Revenge, which has had over 50 million downloads.
Dutch authorities said on Thursday that they have arrested a 16-year-old hacker who was involved in the attacks on the Web sites of MasterCard and PayPal. These attacks were part of the group Anonymous' Operation Payback campaign. Among others, they were paying back MasterCard and PayPal for suspending Wikileaks' accounts.
The arrest was announced by the Dutch National Prosecutors Office, who said that the unnamed teenager was arrested by a high-tech crime unit on Wednesday night. While his identity was not released, it's believed he may be one of the IRC-operators of Anonymous, known by the handle Jeroenz0r.
Anonymous has attacked numerous targets, including the Dutch prosecutor's office which is trying to extradite Wikileaks chief Julian Assange from the U.K. On Thursday, Amazon.com, which kicked Wikileaks off its EC2 service, was attacked. However, the site showed just why Wikileaks wanted to use it as a host: it was too robust to be taken down by the DDoS attack.
The teenager has reportedly confessed to involvement in the hacking. However, considering the organization behind all this, one arrest isn't going to stop the attacks.
The forces of 4Chan and Anonymous have combined to attack the websites several companies (PayPal, Swiss bank Postfinance, etc.) that booted Wikileaks earlier. You may recall these groups as being involved in the takedowns of several anti-piracy sites, earlier.
On the positive side of things, these groups also helped track down the identity of the "Cat Bin Lady," as well.
The group is using the banner of the aforementioned campaign against anti-piracy sites, which has been dubbed Operation: Payback. The name refers the to DDoS attacks against piracy sites, which Anonymous is doing, in kind, as payback to the originators. The group has said that any website that is "bowing down to government pressure" will be targeted.
So far, it has been reported that Postfinance saw its website down for 16 hours (it is now up, at the time of this writing). PayPal was mostly unaffected, but MasterCard's site was taken down (and is currently unreachable, at this writing).

DDoS attacks basically flood a site with requests to the point that it can no longer respond. WikiLeaks itself was the target of massive DDoS attacks both before and after its release of hundreds of thousands of US embassy cables.
Although Twitter has not deleted Wikileaks' account, it's been said to be a future target, based on its supposed censorship of the #wikileaks hashtag.
Meanwhile, Wikileaks chief Julian Assange remains in custody in the U.K. Swedish prosecutors are seeking extradition to face sexual misconduct charges. A bail request was rejected.
Developer Rovio has updated Angry Bids Lite in the Android Market, to beta 2. Angry Brids Lite first swooped onto Android in early September.
Naturally, this is a beta, albeit beta 2. There will be bugs. Unfortunately, for those who might have played through beta 1, and are jonesing for new levels, there are still 15 levels. We await the full, paid version with high anticipation.
The game has proven popular, already exceeding 250,000 downloads (which is the highest tier we can see). It took about 4 days to top 250K download. It has over 24,000 ratings, and although it's only garnered a 3.96 as of this writing (out of 5), but that's mostly because of bugs.
The game, for those not already addicted, requires you to "fire" Angry Birds at pigs hidden in structures using a slingshot. The birds have different attributes and behaviors, and the structures vary from level to level, requiring strategy to break into them.
