Varun Sandesh who has been going through a lean patch in his career is back with a different entertainer. Whether it was entertaining enough to rock the box office, let us see

Story:
Siva (Varun Sandesh) is on a train to go to his uncle’s house. He chances upon Maya (Asmita) and Siva realizes that she has run away from home. He wants to hep her but she disappears suddenly. Siva reaches his uncle’s (Jayaprakash Reddy) home and here his ‘Maradalu’ Bhagya (Poonam Kaur) is hopelessly in love with him and wants to marry him. Once when Siva and Bhagya go to the market, Maya is spotted and she is chased by the goons. Siva takes Maya and escapes. At the same time, a noted director Brahmi (Brahmanandam) is narrating a story to Siva’s uncle. Interestingly, whatever Brahmi is narrating, the same is happening in real with Siva. Here, Brahmi reveals that the lady in his story is a killer. Is Maya a killer too? Why is she being chased? What happens to Bhagya’s love forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Varun Sandesh is seen in a special getup for this film but his new look doesn’t suit him. His lean looks make him appear worse. However, he has improved in his acting though he still has that foreign accent in his Telugu.

Asmita looks sexy but she is blank in acting. Since her character is complex, it would have helped if a performing actress was taken.

Krishnudu brought smiles with his heavy frame but he is yet to improve his acting. Brahmi has not done much comedy but due to his character, few smiles are got. Jayaprakash Reddy was annoying at start but later he was hilarious. Poonam Kaur comes in yet another forgettable role. Despite having good looks she is not getting the chance to do main leads. Prithvi and Amit were okay. Nagineedu was not matching his role.

Analysis:
Firstly, it was never explained why Brahmi’s story is happening for real. Though that can be ignored citing cinematic liberty, there are enough hiccups in the story which makes it difficult to term it as a fulsome comedy treat.

Except for those few comedy scenes here and there, the rest of it is trash. If this story was given to any other director he would have brought better result but Eshwar Reddy gave it up. If this had Allari Naresh then it would have been added bonus. Keeping the plot in suspense till the end was good but when it is revealed, one cannot help laughing. After all the hiding, one gets a feeling this is what the director had to say. There is no strength in any sequence.

And with the heroine unable to act, not much sympathy comes to her character. Except for few laughs here and there, the story is a bore.

Bottomline: It’s a stale curry not a story

BeauMonde Towers, Prabhadevi. That is Deepika Padukone’s new address. The actress has bought a plush four-bedroom apartment in a 33-storey tower for a whopping Rs16 crore along with her father Prakash, a former national badminton champion.

The actress’s apartment in tower B has an area of 2,776 sq ft and is very close to the Siddhivinayak temple. Deepika’s 26th floor apartment also comes with parking slots for three cars.

The actress and her father visited the property registration office at the Old Custom House in Fort on December 6 to pay stamp duty for their apartment in BeauMonde Towers, a complex with three residential skyscrapers. They paid Rs79,82,600 to register the property.

“The Padukones did not ask for special treatment. They completed the paper work in just about the same time as anybody else. However, people who were in office when the actress arrived were disappointed since they could not take her pictures,” an official from the registration office told DNA.

The property has been jointly registered in the name of Deepika and Prakash. The apartment was purchased from Sheth Developers Pvt Ltd, which constructed the property in Prabhadevi. BeauMonde Towers has a two-level podium. The complex also has two tennis, badminton and squash courts apart from open exercise decks.“Deepika, who lives with her parents in Pali Hill at present, may continue to stay there. She may have bought the Prabhadevi apartment as an investment,” a film industry source said.
Deepika’s decision to buy an apartment in Prabhadevi has taken the film industry watchers by surprise. Most stars prefer to stay in the suburbs, especially between Bandra and Andheri, since most of the studios and offices of production houses are there.

However, sources close to Deepika say the actress is not worried about the travel to the suburbs since she feels the Bandra-Worli Sea Link would make her commute easier. Besides, most of the films nowadays are shot overseas. As a result, industry sources say, upcoming high-end properties in South and Central Mumbai have caught Bollywood’s fancy recently.
“Stars who don’t have family-owned homes in the city are warming up to the idea of buying houses in upcoming real estate hubs such as Prabhadevi, Worli and Parel,” a publicist of a top Bollywood actress explained. The secretary of another actress said that those from small-town India find the prospect of owning a high-end luxury home in the island city very alluring. “Some are keen to buy apartments only as an investment option. They don’t have the desire to stay in them,” he added.

Victory Venkatesh’s undershoot film, ‘Nagavalli’ logo was launched today at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. The event was graced by Tollywood celebrities Venkatesh, Priyamani, Vimala Raman, Bellamkonda Suresh, Paruchuri Brothers, and Chandrabose.

Being produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under the banner, Sri Sai Ganesh Productions Pvt Ltd the film has Anushka, Kamalini Mukherjee, Richa Gangopadhyay, Sraddha Das and Poonam Kaur as heroines. This semi-horror flick is a sequel to Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Prabhu starrer ‘Chandramukhi’ and is being directed by P.Vasu who directed its prequel.

Nagavalli is slated for a release on 2nd, December world-wide. Meanwhile the audio of the film will be launched on 16th, November.

Bollywood star Salman Khan is so impressed with Aamir Khan after watching "Peepli Live" that he has given him the title of "Mr.Midas touch".

"Mr. Midas touch has produced a picture. Midas touch ’matlab ke’ (means) Aamir Khan. ’Peepli Live’ has a mad-ass touch. Especially the press should see the film," Salman posted on his Twitter page.

With Aamir’s last three films -- "Taare Zameen Par", "Ghajini" and "3 Idiots" - declared blockbuster hits, Salman seems to have chosen an apt expression for his colleague.
"I didn’t let Aamir touch me after the film. Agar mujhe gold mein badal deta toh? (What if he touched me and I would have transformed into gold?)," Salman quipped.

"Peepli Live" is a satire on farmers’ suicides and it has been directed by Anusha Rizvi and produced by Aamir Khan Productions Pvt Ltd. The movie is in the spotlight for its slick promos and quirky music. "Everybody should watch this film. It is comedy, tragedy, khulasa, sansani, breaking news...," said Salman.
