Mindless Behavior and Viddy have teamed up for another Production Pack, following up on the T-Pain Viddy Production Pack, which was the first premium Production Pack. Viddy is free in the App Store, and allows users to add customize their videos with visual effects, music, transitions, and even movie stars, and then share them through social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Tumblr.

The free downloadable Mindless Behavior Production Pack allows fans create their own social media music video, set to Mindless Behavior’s new single, “Valentine’s Girl.”

It's a very timely release, considering Tuesday is Valentine's Day.

With Viddy’s Mindless Behavior Production Pack, users can customize their own 15-second music videos (the length limit of Viddy videos) including innovative special effects and, as the press release adds, "the harmonic voices of the R&B / Pop teenage boy band.

With the Production Pack, heart graphics, and a personalized message, "Viddyographers" can "send a Valentine’s Day shout out in a very unique way." Viddy wants their users to engage with social media and share their videos with all their friends and followers.

Mindless Behavior said, "We think Viddy's a dope app and are excited to give all our Mindless fans a chance to make their own videos set to 'Valentine's Girl' in our V-Day Viddy Pack."

Google Plus continues to get more open bit by bit, and just today made the service available to teens age 13 and up. Previously, Google Plus was restricted to people 18 and up. Along with the wave of new teenagers, Google Plus is also getting new privacy and security features--a fairly important thing if the service is to become something parents encourage their children to use.

Google is probably doing the slow rollout on purpose. This is their third or fourth wave of opening the service up. Each time it's followed by new statistics on membership, and this time will be no different. Millions of teens are going to sign up in the near future.

Google Plus Opens To Teens

Google Plus is now open to everyone 13 and up, and I'm guessing there will be plenty of takers.

This kind of news should be music to a video marketer's ears, because teenagers are among the most avid video consumers. They're also much more prone to social activity, with most of today's teenagers having grown up with mobile devices, Facebook, and Twitter.

The influx of teenagers 13 and up to Google Plus means the demographic will change almost overnight. It should also make Google Plus a more attractive social video marketing tool for brands and businesses--particularly those that create content known to appeal to teenagers: I'm thinking about action-oriented brands like Go Pro and Red Bull, music videos and music industry brands, movie trailers, etc.

Not content to merely take the world by storm by giving birth to baby Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce has launched an iPhone and iPad app, "Beyonce: Live At Roseland," which takes the DVD content from her sold-out four nights at New York’s famed Roseland Ballroom, placing it in a form that can be viewed on your iDevice of choice.

Previously only available on her "Live At Roseland: The Elements Of 4" two-disc DVD concert film, the app combines music, concert footage and photographs to tell the story of the experience on and backstage during Beyonce's performances at the Roseland Ballroom.

The Beyonce Live at Roseland app was created for and with Beyonce by Treemo Labs (iTunes link). It costs $8.99 in the App Store, and so far has very good "reviews" in iTunes.

The Beyonce Live at Roseland app features the full Roseland concert and a photo gallery containing over 25 photos with pinch and zoom capability, all of which do not require an Internet connection to view. Fans can also download bonus video content --- "Behind The Stage" from Roseland and "Behind The Camera" from Beyonce's music videos. The app is social media sharing enabled.

This is interesting. It's not just that Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me" video premiered Thursday night at 9:55 PM EST on MTV and on the Web. It's the number of product placements on the video.

The Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me" video was directed by Jonas Akerlund. The song will be featured on her upcoming album, "Femme Fatale."

While we wouldn't expect any less than to see her "advertise" her own perfume line, we also saw a number of other products presented in an almost subliminal fashion, nearly too quick to see. We saw Sephora cosmetics, dating site PlentyofFish.com, and a number of Sony electronics. It's possible there were more.

Product placement such as this has become popular (and criticized) in the DVR age. Since people with DVRs can skip ads, product placement is the only way to get advertising into TV shows that people aren't able to skip.

PlentyofFish.com has been in other videos as as well, and has nearly made a name for itself in terms of music video product placement. It was also featured in the Lady Gaga “Telephone,” among others Reportedly, the site saw a spike after its "Telephone" appearance.
