A hacker who goes by the handle "Yama Tough" has announced that he will post the full source code of Symantec Corp's Norton Antivirus software. As we reported earlier, however, the source code that was hacked from Indian government servers wasn't for Symantec's flagship Norton product, but instead for old (and we mean old) enterprise security software.
The source code was given to the Indian government in order for them to inspected by them to "ensure" that the product was secure. The authorities left the code on servers which were then accessed by the hackers, showing that the product may have been secure, but the Indian servers were not.
"Yama Tough" has already posted snippets of the code. The code released on Pastebin so far points to the code being from 1999. Symantec itself earlier said the code was from obsolete Enterprise products, not their Norton Security line of consumer products.
"Yama Tough" Tweeted: "This comming (sic) Tuesday behold the full Norton Antivirus 1,7Gb src, the rest will follow,"
In their latest statement, Symantec said:
"The code for Norton Utilities that was posted publicly is related to the 2006 version ... [and is] no longer sold or supported.
"The current version of Norton Utilities has been completely rebuilt and shares no common code with Norton Utilities 2006. The code that has been posted for the 2006 version poses no security threat to users of the current version of Norton Utilities."
Odds are that neither hackers or competitors will get much information out of this release, at least not current, up-to-date information. Still, despite the fact that the insecure servers were India government servers, there is still nothing so embarrassing as a security firm hacked in one way or another.

India's biggest and outrageous toon porn star Savita Bhabhi has set foot in the sands of Goa - of course, in cyber space. And the state government is not too happy. Already banned by the Indian government, the website showcases the adventures of the seductive, sari-clad Savita, who is the face of Indian graphic porn art. The latest edition of Savita Bhabhi has the much-married protagonist visiting a Goa resort with her female friends and ending up in a series of sexual encounters .
State worried
Already uneasy with the 'sleaze capital of India' tag, the state tourism department has not taken 29-year-old Savita Bhabhi's foray into Goa too graciously. "We will have to go after these sites. We will examine legal options to go after people who are behind this particular website," Nikhil Desai, managing director of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), told IANS. "These sites are illegal and are the handiwork of unscrupulous perverts and criminals who are out to make a quick buck. They have nefarious designs.
Who she really is
After its original domain was banned by the Indian government for promoting pornography, the toon porn star has now switched to a more inconspicuous address. The website describes Savita (Patel) Bhabhi as a "regular Indian woman in the eyes of the world, but only a few lucky people know who she really is. She is a woman who finds the need to explore her sexuality and enjoy the moment. Trapped in a loveless marriage, she is always open to new sexual experiences. This series follows her various sexual exploits and fantasies".
Two part series
The two-part series of Savita Bhabhi's Goa adventures is available on its new website for a price and carries a provocative strap line 'Beautiful beaches, sexy swimsuits, one hot bhabhi'. "People who visit these sites are perverts. There will be perverts in this world. I think people who really want to go on a clean holiday will not go by the impression of Goa created on these websites," Desai said, adding that tourists would go to proper websites for genuine information on Goa
Registered abroad
Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) Atmaram Deshpande said a cyber cell was being created in the state police force just to go after such websites. "We are keeping track of such websites. But most of these websites are registered abroad and are being operated from there," said Deshpande. The website, which hosts the pictorial adventures of the bhabhi, is operated from an IP address based in Brooklyn, US.

Time and again Bollywood film makers have drawn inspirations from real lives of real people though they abstain from claiming the story to be based on anyone. After Kasab and Sania Mirza and Abu Salem, the next in row is Haji Mastaan who is said to be the inspiration behind Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai‘.
However, the connection of his late father with Ekta’s flick has not gone down well with Sundar Shekhar Mirza, Haji Mastan’s adopted son who has taken action against the daily soap queen by serving a legal notice to Balaji Telefilms and director Milan Luthria for making a movie based on the life of his late father without taking Mastan family’s consent first.
In addition, Mirza has objections to the fact that the flick hints at the link between Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim, a declared terrorist by the Indian government in the March 12, 1992 Bombay blasts and against whom the US Government too has issued a red alert.
Seems, Ekta Kapoor is stuck up in legal hassles this time.
Recently, five movies got released and neither of them got success. The only reason is IPL. Cricket crazy people show less interest about the new released movies. It creates bitter feeling in the mind of Bollywood producers. There is no doubt that Bollywood producers are not happy with the Indian domestic cricket league IPL. During the time of IPL, no Hindi movie runs well in the cinema theatre. It seems a big risk to release a big budget film during the IPL. However, low and medium budget films release is halted. The increasing popularity of IPL in India has become a big threat for Hindi film industry. If it continues then Indian government will lose huge revenue every year. Cinema hall owners are now watching IPL matches in a big screen. One of the most argumentative matters is that IPL matches are played from 4 pm to 11pm. There are very few slots for the Bollywood movies to make good run at the cinema theatres.
I hope that both Bollywood and IPL will come into a conversation and fix this problem.
It seems that Indian film and TV industry will have to fight against piracy. Piracy has caused a big threat for this country. If Indian government does not take any necessary steps then in the near future we can see that it will have to struggle hard for survive. Indian film and TV industry has great contribution to its economy. It has created nearly 1.8 million jobs and contributed $6.2 billion to its economy in 2008. According to a report `Economic Contribution of Indian Film and Television Industry’ by PricewaterhouseCoopers, it has been said that the film industry was in fact considerably impacted by online piracy. You should know that Indian film industry could not earn $959 million only for piracy. Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) chairman Dan Glickman said that if industry offers people product at reasonable price in a hassle free manner then people will not steal. In this way piracy will be stopped.
Motion Picture Distributors Association has undertaken a research study among the top ten countries in the world where it is seen that online piracy is high. Most of the people download movies or cinemas through online. Telugu and Tamil films are also most downloaded topics. Not only that but also cam is used to copy the film in theatres. It is the common use of piracy.
However, if piracy is not reduced then many people will loss job and Indian film and TV industry will contribute less amount of money to the Indian economy. No doubt, Indian government will suffer a lot if they failed to stop piracy.
Tomorrow on 12th February 2010 is an important day for movie lovers. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starring the much-anticipated movie “My Name Is Khan” will be released world wide on this day. Indian government has provided strong security force to ensure security to the audience who will come to enjoy this movie in a big screen. How would you feel if you can hear that releasing date has been postponed because of the on going war of words between Shiv Sena and Shah Rukh Khan? No doubt, it will be shocking news to the fans and they do not expect such kind of news ever. But the situation is going worse and there may be no way except postponing the date of the movie release. However, I have seen many media speculations about the release of this film. Some big cinema halls like FUN Cinema have denied their interest to release this movie on the scheduled time. As a reason they showed the security concern for not releasing the movie on Friday. Movie director Karan Johar has not yet talked about it. He may have to force to change the releasing date. The important thing is that they will have to reportedly suffer a loss of 40 crore if the film MNK does not release across the Maharastra state. What is waiting in the fate of “My Name Is Khan” movie? You will get this answer tomorrow.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been threatened by a chauvinism and Hindu regional group Shiv Sena because of his upcoming movie “My Name is Khan”. He also has been called traitor after expressing regret that no Pakistani players were selected for the third edition of IPL. Shah Rukh Khan’s comment for Pakistan cricket players was the main reason for this problem. However, this problem is now turning into a worst thing.
“My Name is Khan” will release world wide on 12th February 2010. It seems that this much-anticipated movie may not release in its scheduled time. The condition of India is not good at all. In this condition, fans will not feel secure to come and watch movie in a big screen. However, Indian government has provided strong security. Any big problem may happen on the releasing date. I think that this movie will be big hit this year only because of this problem.
People parking black money in numbered Swiss accounts are under no threat of being exposed anytime soon despite serious attempts by the Indian government to convince Swiss authorities to facilitate investigations into their unaccounted hoard.
