Powerful White House Situation Room photo on its way to becoming Flickr’s most viewed
Already, the grumpy flower girl, a velociraptor, the shocked cat, a PlayStation controller, and more have been edited into the photo as part of an Internet meme.
Even without that, the image is on the way to becoming the most viewed photograph ever on Flickr, where the current record holder, the awesome but unexciting Nohkalikai Falls, Cherrapunjee, has amassed about 3 million views in 5 years.
The Situation Room image has grabbed about 1.65 million views since its posting on May 2nd at 10 a.m. PST, as of early Wednesday morning.
The power of the image can't be discounted. Obama leaning forward intensely, Clinton with her hand over her mouth, and the rest of the intense gazes all make us wish we could know exactly what the update was they received during the photo.
So far 4,205 people have added the image to their Flickr favorites.
