Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan seems to be back taking to his famous way of career planning. Well, it appears that the actor has again decided to take a break from acting for a long time.
According to the latest buzz, Aamir has decided to only focus on his wife’s directorial debut, ‘Dhobhi Ghat’, and his next production ‘Peepli Live’, for now.
Soon after that, he would just be concentrating on nephew Imran Khan’s much-awaited venture ‘Delhi Belly’. Considering that the film is long due, Aamir will be giving his undivided attention to Imran’s flick.
So for now it seems that the actor won’t be seen doing a lengthy role till 2012. We are sure he’ll be missed, especially around the end of each year till then!

Now that we have cut, copy and paste in the iPhone OS, the current most desired missing feature (at least among developers) is background processing (multi-tasking). While Apple has said push notifications was fine instead of multi-tasking, in reality there are so many things that can only be done with multi-tasking.
For example, using a very common user complaint, it might be nice to be able to listen to Pandora and be able to get a phone call, without dropping Pandora’s feed, that is.
Apple, on the other hand, has always used battery life as the reason for no multitasking. The company has said that the current state of battery technology and battery life is such that background processing (multitasking) on the iPhone was a non-starter. This puts severe constraints on what can and cannot be done on an iPhone.
The iPhone 3.x software is a fully preemptive multitasking operating system. So, it is possible, on a jailbroken iPhone with Backgroundr, to work outside the limitations artificially placed on it by Apple, and multi-task. Aside from that, only the apps bundled with the system by Apple can run in the background.
AppleInsider claims that “people with a proven track record” have told them that multi-tasking is coming in iPhone OS 4.0. Of course, if they do that, besides the obvious questions on battery life, Apple also has to figure out a slick way to switch and kill apps.
For that, Apple might have taken a look at some other apps for jailbroken iPhones. ProSwitcher is one such example. It allows you to switch and kill apps running in the background, even allowing you to flick them off the screen like in Palm’s webOS.

Tonight, the Academy Awards will present the Best Picture award, as the last award of the evening. While Roger Ebert has already announced his picks, including “The Hurt Locker” as Best Picture, if you ask filesharers, it’s all “District 9.”
BitTorrent, for those who don’t know, is the popular peer-to-peer (P2P) filesharing protocol. While it has illicit uses, it also has legitimate ones. Sharing the sci-fi flick “District 9″ is not one of them.
TorrentFreak has compiled a list of the Best Picture nominees, in order of downloads. If you assume each download counts as a vote, and including all manner of downloads (such as a complete DVD rip, shaky cam versions, AVIs, etc.) “District 9″ comes out on top, over a million votes better than “Avatar,” with “The Hurt Locker trailing badly in third.”
As TorrentFreak points out, however, some of these movies have been available online for more than a year, while others only have only been leaked to the web for a short period. Additionally, those who wait for DVD quality downloads will have noted that “Avatar” only became available in DVD-quality a month ago, but “District 9″ was widely available last September.
