Apart from Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan, next year Katrina will also complete the shoot for another Yash Raj film — director Yash Chopra’s comeback venture with Shah Rukh Khan. The yet-to-be titled project is set to go on the floors in January. The first film releases on Eid and the latter on Diwali. This year, Kareena Kapoor had a similar string of releases with Bodyguard and RA.One. And the industry is abuzz with rumours of brewing competition between the leading ladies. But Katrina brushes it aside as a mere coincidence.
“I don’t plan the release dates for my films. And this talk about competition really doesn’t matter. I don’t perceive things like that,” she says, adding, “There’s no competition with Kareena or with anyone else at the box-office. The only thing that matters is that my films should make money because there are a lot of people, including technicians and workers, whose incomes are at stake. Whether my films become bigger hits than anyone else’s or not, is irrelevant.”
‘Priyanka won’t be overshadowed’ Ask Katrina, whether roping her in for the track Chikni Chameli… might take away from Agneepath’s leading lady, Priyanka Chopra, who also has a few song and dance numbers, and she says, “We’re all a team. Why would we compete with each other? Priyanka is as happy as Hrithik and Sanjay. And as a producer, Karan won’t allow this to happen. She won’t be overshadowed. In fact, it didn’t even come to my mind that this is also how my item song could be perceived.
Amitabh Bachchan has thanked his extended family (EF) for finding the original morphed image of his new-born granddaughter’s picture.
His daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai gave birth to her and husband Abhishek’s first child Nov 16. The Bachchans shared the news on Twitter, but refused to post the baby’s picture on-line, saying it is a private matter.
Meanwhile, someone posted a morphed picture of the baby on the net.
“Ladies and gentlemen of the EF world, I present to you the picture being circulated and below that, the original from where the morphing was done. A smart piece of work!! Not the morphing. The diligence of our EF team,” Big B posted on his blog Bigb.bigadda.com.
“I have to say that the EF was incredibly smart! How on earth were they able to search for the original beats me. Well done dearest ones !!,” he added.
The picture of Aishwarya’s baby girl has been doing the rounds on internet for the past few days and this has upset the Bachchan clan.
Also the 69-year-old received several requests for the baby’s picture, but he refused.

The 69-year-old, who was keenly awaiting the arrival of his grandchild, also described the feeling as he held the newborn in his hand, calling it a “delicate moment”.
“The soft innocence of nature rests in my arms, oblivious of what else happens around her. Occasionally she opens her large and what looks now to be eyes of the lighter hue, which those that have dealt with similar, know shall change with time,” he said.
“Often the gentlest of smiles quiver across her pouted upper lip, the shut eyes bringing expression through the brows and the settling down to that dream she must dream. I stare at her in silence. She reciprocates in similar vein. It is too delicate a moment,” he added.

Aarakshan Movie Review: A lot has already been said and heard about Aarakshan, thanks to the number of controversies it had to combat to hit the screens. So, when the movie opens with Saif Ali Khan being ridiculed for hailing from a lower caste in a college interview, Prakash Jha hits the nail in its head without wasting anytime. However, as the movie proceeds, the roller coaster drama takes a preachy turn, and a few speed breakers disappoint.
Aarakshan is the story of Prabhakar Anand [Amitabh Bachchan], principle of a private college in Bhopal since past 30 years, who swears by his ethics and fights for them all through the movie. Other characters in the movie include Tanvi Azmi his doting wife, his daughter Poorbi [Deepika], who is also the love interest of his dear and obedient disciple Deepak Kumar [Saif Ali Khan] and Sushant [Prateik Babbar] Poorbi and Deepak’s friend.
Talk about characters and it won’t be exaggeration to say that Aarakshan belongs to Big B. Tanvi calls him the ‘real hero’ in the movie and so do we believe! Watch him during the resignation scene. Saif Ali Khan has done a remarkable job as a dalit – a character that is quite contrary to the suave and refined Saif in real life.
So, grab your tub of pop-corn for you’ll need energy to sit through the long movie and do an ‘Aarakshan’ for your seat for Aarakshan – there’s no harm in watching it once!
