Sun Pictures denies selling Endhiran Telugu rights
A production manager and his close aide have been arrested in Chennai on Tuesday for allegedly cheating a Tollywood distributor (Sri Tirupathi Tirumala Films) with forged documents and collecting from them Rs two crore as advance for selling the Telugu dubbing rights of Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran.
Based on a complaint from Sun Pictures, the producers of the film, the two were arrested, it is said. Meanwhile, Sun Pictures has clarified that it did not sell the rights of the movie to anyone.
‘We have not sold any rights of Endhiran, be it Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, overseas or satellite rights, to anyone. We have filed a complaint against Udhayakumar and his friend,’ Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena was quoted saying.
