On of the most popular ways to spread a computer virus is through email, utilizing the easiest security hole there is to exploit: the human being. Watch out for something that was spreading rapiding on Thursday: the "Here you have" virus email.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011Victims will be presented with an email with the subject "Here you have." The contents of the email will be something like:
This is The Document I told you about, you can find it Here.

Please check it and reply as soon as possible.
or
This is The Free Dowload Sex Movies, you can find it Here.

Enjoy Your Time.
Naturally, the second of the two will appeal to males more than females. However, in either case, despite what the link appears to be, it's not going to deliver a PDF document or WMV movie, but instead a malware payload.

The URL at the domain members.multimania.co.uk appears to have been deactivated, according to McAfee, which would cripple the worm, but of course there's always the chance the hackers involved will link to a new URL, and those already infected may continue to try to spread the malware.

Reportedly, the malware is a variant of W32.Imsolk.A@mm. The worm behaves as follows:
  • Spread through mapped drives through autorun
  • Spread through email by taking contacts from the address book
  • Spread through instant messenger
  • Disables various security related programs
As we have warned before, if you see a strangely worded email, or aren't expecting some sort of "delivery" like this, don't click on such emails before checking with the sender.  Also, keep your antvirus software up-to-date.
